We are searching for a dynamic HR OFFICER to join Jacaranda. The successful encumbent will be based in Midrand and service Jacaranda FM, a division of Kagiso Media (Pty) Ltd.
The ideal candidate for this position will be responsible for the co-ordination of HR administration, processes and HR Practices. You will also be required to assist with a wide range of duties, including payroll and compensation, employee relations, performance and training and labour relations.

1.Recruitment & Selection
•Responsible for proper approval prior to commencing recruitment through the requisition process.
•Advises line managers to complete an accurate job profile, and any other relevant documentation.
•Conduct Internal and External Recruitment to fill vacancies.
•Responsible for short listing of applications, arranging interviews, background checks.
•Drafting of employment contracts.
•Develop and ensure an effective induction process for new recruits.
•Oversee on-boarding of successful candidates by ensuring that all the required documents are completed, signed and returned to HR.
•Advise new employees of all benefits during sign-on.
2.HR Documentation & Administration
•Coordinate all relevant termination processes are adhered to and all documentation filled.
•Coordinate all exit interviews. Ensure it is arranged and conducted.
•Ensure that personnel records are kept accurate and to the required standard
•Liase with payroll department in respect of all HR movements, ensuring that appropriate authorisation is obtained and submit all HR documents to payroll department before cut-off timelines.
•Maintain employee records (contracts, remuneration details, banking details, address details, contact numbers, position detail, beneficiaries, medical dependants and any other employee benefits) and ensure that necessary systems are updated accordingly, create files for new employees and ensure that they are completed and as per the engagement checklist, manage all termination documents and ensure that they are archived within a 3-month period.
3.HR Compliance & Reporting
•Ensures effective communication on updated HR policies and procedures to line managers and staff.
•Ensures all HR audit requirements are adhered to & provide auditors with necessary files and documentation.
•Develop up to date job profiles.
•Provides assistance with the legislative reports submitted.
•Assists with the preparation, completion and submission of Employment Equity Plan (EE Plan) if necessary.
•Provide advice and problem-solving service to staff regarding operational HR best practice, policies, procedures and legislation.
•Act as HR Representative in Employment Equity proceedings.
•Ensure processes related to employee performance management are adhered to.
•Works with transformation to meet the BBBEE Skills Development score targets.
•Manage, coordinate and keep record of all Skills Development documentation.
•Assists with submission of Workplace Skills Plan (WSP) and Annual Training Report (ATR) to SETA.
5.Employee Engagement & Wellness
•Responsible for the coordination of health, safety and welfare of employees.
•Working closely with the social committee to facilitate employee engagement initiatives.
Qualifications and Competencies:
•2 to 3 years of experience in a similar role
•Good working knowledge of HR legislation
•Excellent computer skills; MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Payroll
•Excellent interpersonal and customer-facing skills
•Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
•Good administrative skills and must be highly organised
•The ability to work accurately, with attention to detail
•Ability to maintain confidentiality.
