Introduction
East Coast Radio is looking for a Direct Account Executive to join our Sales Team, Establish and manage a portfolio of new business Clients and or PR/Advertising Agencies in the Richard’s Bay and surrounding area in KZN to ensure new business targets for both FM and non-FM are achieved. Limits in terms of area are up to and excluding Ballito. Clients that are already advertising with ECR are off-limits.

Specification
Manage a portfolio of PR/Direct agencies and Direct Clients to ensure FM and non-FM targets are achieved
•Regular reporting on sales related activity on a weekly basis
•Drive and actively engage in the sales process to ensure stakeholder needs are met
•Monitoring of campaigns and regular tracking and trending of spend
•Establish a new portfolio of Clients and develop strong stakeholder relations within the PR/Agency and Direct Client portfolio.
•Develop a new business portfolio with Direct Clients and within the PR/Agency portfolio; thereafter manage and maintain business and relationships
•Manage the stations’ CRM opportunities for advertiser benefit
Requirements
Educational requirements:
•Grade 12
•Tertiary education is essential

Skills requirements:
• •At least 2 years’ experience in the advertising and media sales environment
•Excellent communication skills – written, verbal and telephonic
•Ability to make decisions
•Above average problem-solving ability and negotiation skills
•Excellent presentation skills

Knowledge requirements:
•Business management principles
•Customer relationship management
•Thorough understanding of the sales and marketing process
•Broad media knowledge, radio would be beneficial
•PR/Ad Agency and Direct Client operation
